Showcase Cinema Walsall

A classic multiplex theatre – 12 giant screens, all the cinema snack options you can shake a calorie laden stick at, and ample free parking for all. Tickets aren’t the cheapest, but then there isn’t much competition short of travelling further afield to Wolverhampton or towards Birmingham. It does offer 3D screenings as well for a premium, and various special offers and concessions are available some days. Check with the cinema for the latest listings.

The Grange Playhouse

A very small community run theatre with consistently excellent reviews. With just 104 seats, it gives a pretty intimate atmosphere during a production, and there is a surprisingly large range of productions which changes regularly. Run by an amateur cast (which is always looking for volunteers), it makes a different theatre proposition to the usual grand productions in equally grand theatres in the wider Midlands area.
