Wharf Bar
A bar nestled by the river and art gallery might suggest it will be a bit snobby and faux trendy, but it is actually a pretty chilled place to have a drink. It is open during the day and serves food but it’s nothing special, its a venue more suited to an evening’s activities! There are cheap drinks offers some nights, and also the occasional bit of live music to keep things varied – check with them for the latest listings!

The Pretty Bricks

There is a regular quiz boosting the friendly atmosphere, and food is available. A bit further out from the town centre than most of the other pubs listed here, it is worth a visit if you like a good pint and live music.
