Clubs

Walsall might not be a rival for Ibiza’s superclubs, but once the sun goes down there are plenty of places to go and let your hair down late into the night! Whether you want some cheesy party music or are more of a hardcore clubber, there should be something to suit everyone. Here is a selection of the main Walsall clubs that should be on your list of places to visit………

Vogue

Vogue Nightclub is right up there in the hottest clubs in Walsall right now. With visits from high profile DJ’s and celebrities alike, a great atmosphere awaits every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. It’s open ’til late (6am at the weekend!) and has a huge selection of drinks including an impressive cocktail menu. If you want to go all out, you can even hire a VIP booth for that special occasion. Student night is Wednesday and drinks offers are available every night. Music varies but expect some R&B, Hip-Hop, House and some classic pop and dance thrown in as well. All the ingredients for a great night out!

Vogue is at 2 Bradford Place, Walsall, WS1 1PL. Map and directions available here

WS1

Fresh from a 2011 refurb, WS1 has cemented it’s place on the Walsall clubbing scene. With three rooms of music there is sure to be a room to suit your tastes! Expect the usual range of music including commercial dance, R&B, House and the obligatory offering of classic party cheesy anthems. Open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays ’til late, with the occasional theme night thrown in to keep it fresh. Drinks offers vary, but there should be some OK deals most nights so there shouldn’t be any need to break the bank! VIP bookings are available on request, and they also have an under 16’s disco every now and again….

WS1 is on Bridge Street, Walsall, WS1 1QG. Map and directions available here.

Fever

Fever

Previously known as Retro, this is a club that only plays the best of the music from years gone by! Anything from the sixties to the noughties is on offer, and ‘the cheesier the better’ appears to the selection criteria. A great place to go with friends, the alcohol is pretty much always on special offer and last time I checked entry is free all night. They do the usual array of cocktails (by the pitcher if it takes your fancy) and special offers on shots seem to be the order of the day – nights out here could get messy pretty quickly! Even if cheese is not your thing, why not give it a go – there’s bound to be a couple of songs to make you smile! Long live cheesy music!

Fever is at 133 Lichfield Street, Walsall, WS1 1SL (opposite the library, physically and intellectually!). Map and directions available here.

Colliseum

Colliseum is far from the biggest club in Walsall, but it has been around for ages! It shares its entrance with Club X, a ‘gentleman’s lounge’, so make sure you choose the right door or you might get more than you bargained for…! Open ’til very late at the weekend with drinks offers available, it offers a mix of music to its medium sized and varied crowds.

Colliseum is at 23 Bradford Street, Walsall, WS1 1PN. Map and directions available here.
